Individual Classes
One-on-one classes create space for a highly responsive experience shaped around the individual child.
The instructor can adapt pacing, interaction, movement, and support around the child's interests and ways of participating.
For Families
Children learn language by living it.
Kinetic Lingo creates individual and group Spanish learning experiences built around movement, exploration, imagination, cultural context, and human connection.
Instead of learning Spanish primarily through memorization and repetition, children step into experiences where the language helps them move, explore, make choices, and connect with others.

What does a Kinetic Lingo experience look like?
Your child might enter an imagined market.
There are baskets to carry. Objects to choose. People to interact with. Decisions to make.
The instructor isn't simply asking children to repeat Spanish words for what they see. Spanish helps the child participate in what is happening.
Another experience might become a journey, a story, a shared challenge, a creative project, or an exploration of everyday life within a Spanish-speaking community.

Why movement?
Children don't experience the world only by sitting and listening.
At Kinetic Lingo, movement is connected to meaning. A child might move toward something, place an object somewhere, follow a direction, demonstrate an action, navigate a space, exchange something with another person, or respond physically to what they understand.
Movement isn't simply a break from learning.
It is one of the ways children can experience and communicate meaning.
Multiple ways to participate
Children enter language differently.
A child might speak, point, move, choose an object, gesture, work with someone, watch first, or join when ready.
Kinetic Lingo creates opportunities to participate without unnecessarily requiring immediate speech, eye contact, stillness, or public performance.
Children have room to experiment with Spanish, approximate, make mistakes, and build confidence.
Language + Culture
Learning Spanish also means discovering something about the people and communities who use it.
There isn't one “Spanish culture.” Spanish connects communities across many countries, regions, histories, and contemporary lives.
Kinetic Lingo brings cultural context into children's experiences with curiosity and respect, without reducing communities to costumes, holidays, foods, or stereotypes.
Human connection
Responsive human interaction is central to Kinetic Lingo.
Instructors notice how children are participating, adjust support, expand language, and create genuine reasons to communicate.
A child's choice, gesture, movement, question, or words can influence what happens next.
The goal isn't simply to repeat Spanish correctly. It's to begin experiencing Spanish as a way to understand, interact, explore, and connect.

Class formats
Kinetic Lingo Spanish is available through individual classes or privately organized group classes.
One-on-one classes create space for a highly responsive experience shaped around the individual child.
The instructor can adapt pacing, interaction, movement, and support around the child's interests and ways of participating.
Families who already have a group of children interested in Spanish can inquire about learning together.
Group experiences create additional opportunities for communication, collaboration, shared challenges, imaginative play, and peer interaction.
Groups may include friends, siblings, neighbors, or other families who would like their children to learn together.
Class location, schedule, frequency, and group size are arranged based on the needs of each class.
Screen-free class time
Kinetic Lingo class experiences are intentionally screen-free.
That isn't because we're anti-technology.
We protect class time for movement, tangible exploration, imaginative experiences, face-to-face communication, and responsive interaction with other people.
Optional materials
Kinetic Lingo classes are complete learning experiences on their own. No additional materials are required to participate fully.
Optional tactile materials designed to extend exploration and create additional opportunities to interact with Spanish beyond class.
An optional physical companion where children can collect traces of their language journey, experiences, and discoveries over time.
Both are highly recommended enhancements, but they are completely optional and are never required for participation.
Parent FAQ
No previous Spanish experience is required. Because instruction and support can be adapted to the learner, families should tell us about any previous Spanish exposure when they inquire.
Children are encouraged to communicate and experiment with Spanish, but participation can take different forms. Listening, movement, gesture, objects, observation, and interaction can all provide ways into an experience.
Both formats are available. Families may inquire about individual classes or come to Kinetic Lingo with an already organized group of children who would like to learn together.
Not at this time. Group classes are currently available for families who already have a group interested in learning together. Individual classes are available for families seeking a one-on-one format.
